The Miller’s House stands at the north end of Crick's Bend, just south of the mill. It is a house, large by the standards of the town, where travellers rent rooms upstairs and use the downstairs as a common room to eat and talk.1 A lit lantern hangs over the front porch.1
Jim Miller still lives on the property, having moved himself into the cellar so the house above can be let. He is quietly about as well off as the Kembles, without much to show for it.1

Sister Ashryn and her companion took rooms here for several evenings. The party came looking for her and found her reading by candlelight in the living room with a cup of tea, and the conversation that followed ended with her telling them that only one of them would be right in the end.1
