The Scarf of Many Fashions is a magic scarf woven by Hecate for Rhysaene.1 It takes on whatever appearance its wearer thinks of.1

Description

Appearance

Hecate brought it to the barn as a patchwork of colors and patterns so loud that it could not go with any outfit, and very well woven.1 When Rhysaene took it, it rippled like water and became deep blue silk, embroidered in silver-white with doves and the trails of wind behind them. At its center two doves, one flying up and one flying down, stand against a golden sun.1

Properties

The scarf changes its style, color and material at its wearer’s thought, and remains a scarf whatever it looks like.1 It works as a cloak of many fashions does.12

Mechanics

Wondrous Item, Common

While wearing this scarf, you can take a Bonus Action to change the style, color, and apparent quality of the garment. The scarf’s weight doesn’t change. Regardless of its appearance, the scarf can’t be anything but a scarf. Although it can duplicate the appearance of other magic scarves, it doesn’t gain their magical properties.1

History

Session 7

Rhysaene asked Hecate for something like the scarf she was wearing, as her payment for guarding the warding ritual. Hecate asked whether she was going to be up all night sewing.3

Session 8

Hecate gave it to Rhysaene in the barn the next morning. “It will take on any appearance you like. Just think it and it will be.”1
