The Hall of the Anvil is the guildhall of the Vaultsmiths in the Lantern Wards of Argentum, north-northwest of the Bureau of Infrastructure & Mapping.1
Description
A stone building like a temple, with big stone pillars in front. On its face is the Vaultsmiths’ emblem, an anvil with the flame of the Synod above it, the same emblem struck on every copper anvil.1 Inside it feels like a temple turned into a guildhall. The main entrance is open to the public, with a receptionist.2 It is busy, and many of the people coming and going wear medallions bearing the emblem.1
The minting vaults below are highly restricted. The master coiner, Dalric Ironmark, works there.2
A wide stairwell inside, marked Valve Halls, leads down into the Underforge Vaults. An armed Vaultsmith in light armor guards it and checks the business of anyone going down.1
History
Session 9
The party came here on the morning of 30 Coldrise, 1714 PSF, for Luma’s survey of the sealed vaults. The guard read her work order and sent them down to the Valve Halls, warning them not to touch any valves.1
Session 11
The party came back up through the hall on 30 Coldrise, after surveying the four foundry vaults.3
Session 13
On the Vigil of Remembrance, 1714 PSF, Hazel resolved to go back and find the dwarf the party had seen here, whom they had met at the Festival of Bells, to apologize and talk to him.4
Session 14
Luma and Hazel came here at midday on 1 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, looking for the dwarf with the old coins.2 The receptionist, a human man with deep red hair and a long red beard braided in the dwarven style, named him as Dalric Ironmark and took a note for him.2
Trivia
- The hall was called the Hall of Anvils throughout Session 9. The Dungeon Master corrected the name to the Hall of the Anvil in Session 11.3
