Kyren Lenara

Kyren Lenara is a member of the Order of the Lantern training as a Dragoon candidate, one of the wetscales in Temerity’s intake. He is 23.¹

Description

Appearance

A very young-looking half-elf, slight and strikingly pretty, about five foot six, with light hair and a very delicate build.²¹ He wears chain armor and carries a simple flanged mace of the Order’s make.¹ His hair is a pale, almost white blonde, worn a little longer than regulation and falling in soft waves. He has gentle features, wide blue eyes, a warm and earnest smile, and only faintly tapered ears. He carries a satchel of medical supplies across his chest at all times, even off duty: bandages, cauterizing salts and tinctures.

Personality

Kyren wants to do whatever lets him help the most people, and to be someone the people around him can depend on to protect them.¹ On Temerity’s first morning he told her she had missed part of the orientation briefing, and that the wetscales were due in the training yard before sunrise.¹

Biography

Session 9

Temerity saw him folding origami in a bunk at the wetscales’ end of the barracks on 29 Coldrise, 1714 PSF, and left the introductions for when she was sober.²

Session 14

Kyren introduced himself to Temerity before sunrise on 1 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF. His grip was much lighter than hers. He remarked that Temerity is an unusual name, and also a word.¹ Emeric Vael came over and told him, in Temerity’s hearing, not to get attached to her.¹ Kyren walked with Temerity to the training yard, and later introduced himself to the other cadets.¹ During the day’s drills Temerity saw him talking with Emeric off to the side. He was the only cadet Emeric did not seem to dislike.¹

Session 15

Kyren came out of his sparring match on 2 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, with a badly bloody nose, and kept telling his partner he was fine.³

Session 16

On 3 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, Kyren kept up with the drills through sheer determination, and was learning Draconic faster than anyone.⁴ He agreed to study with Temerity, since he did not know the language either, and in return she gave him exercises to build his strength.⁴ Emeric Vael said Kyren had no business being there, but meant it out of concern.⁴
