She was starting dinner in the kitchen with Juniper Kemble when Temerity came in, told her it was good to see her and that she had not expected her for months, offered her a meal, and then left to ask Henry a question, leaving the two of them alone.1
Session 8
At dinner on 28 Coldrise, 1714 PSF, Maurine looked at Rhysaene and said “Oh my word, you’re quite something, aren’t you?”, asked what would make her comfortable, and laid a rug where a chair had been.2 She told Eliza Kemble to get a plate rather than let the table argue over her lateness, and stared daggers at her after Eliza announced Juniper Kemble’s feelings for Temerity.2 When Hazel feared the party had overstayed their welcome, Maurine apologized for the commotion and said friends of their Temerity were welcome anytime.2
